AIR ID (13.56 MHz) readers and writers
End-users invest a great deal of time and money in their employee credentials. These costs include software, enrolment, deployment, training, printing as well as the cost of the credential itself.
AIR ID® Log-on kit is an economical no-software PC LAN/log-on solution allowing users to leverage their existing building access card solution.
The AIR ID product family was designed to meet our customers' expectations for a truly multi-application solution. The use of smart cards for user authentication is the strongest form of authentication.
The AIR ID Log-on kit includes an AIR ID Writer and AIR ID Playback Reader. The kit solves computer access control issues by allowing the users to use their existing software server infrastructure and their building access investment in iCLASS. It does this all without adding software to the client or server. This eliminates all costs associated with pilot tests, software licenses, upgrades, incompatibilities and other costly issues associated with GINA software!
The user or administrator enters the user log-on credentials and keystrokes into the secure contactless smart card using the AIR ID Writer, our read/write reader. Keystrokes are included to position the user's credential into the correct fields of existing software.
The AIR ID Writer comes with software, which securely writes the credential script into a secure application area in the contactless credential. The admin or user has control over features such as one-, or two-factor authentication, operating system or application level log-on and more. Once the card is placed over the AIR ID Playback reader, the user's credentials are sent to the log-on fields.
The AIR ID readers offer security features such as RF data encryption and mutual authentication using 64 bit keys for each application area.
The AIR ID Playback reader may be configured on-the-fly to retrieve data from different locations within the card. This is a powerful feature since it allows the contactless smart card to hold multiple log-on credentials or other user data such as mag-stripe or bar codes.
Please note that their are separate products aimed at the two main types of 13.56 MHz cards, iCLASS and MIFARE. Be careful to select the product that is appropriate for the kind of card you wish to handle.
The AIR ID range contains the following logon solutions:
