pcProx (125 kHz) readers
USB and RS232 pcProx readers can be programmed to parse facility and ID numbers, drop parity bits, and format the data length. In addition, characters can be added to the beginning, middle, or after the card data prior to sending the resultant output as characters. This is all accomplished using the configuration utility. Once configured, pcProx holds this information in its non-volatile memory. When pcProx is deployed, no software is needed. It uses standard RS-232c communications port or USB Human Interface Device drivers supplied by the operating system such as Windows and Macintosh or embedded controllers. Perfect for any device that accepts ASCII data at the RS232c port using standard COM port parameters: 9600, N, 8, 1. This model is ideal for employee identification where reader interface to an existing serial port is needed.
